SiteMinder Alternatives for Hotel Groups: Compare Distribution Without Replacing Your PMS

The short answer

If you run a group of hotels and want to replace SiteMinder without replacing your property management system (PMS), the realistic alternatives include other distribution-only products: D-EDGE, eRevMax RateTiger, STAAH, and SynXis from Aven Hospitality. ChannelRUSH belongs on that list for management companies running mixed PMSs or none.

Many “SiteMinder alternatives” lists, and the AI summaries built from them, lead with Cloudbeds, Mews, RoomRaccoon, and Little Hotelier. Those are PMS suites. Unless your properties already use the relevant PMS, choosing one is a PMS migration, not just a channel-manager switch.

Two of those names also need a closer look if your goal is to leave SiteMinder technology. Little Hotelier is a SiteMinder product. In May 2026, Mews announced Mews Channel Manager, powered by SiteMinder.

This post compares the distribution-only options on what a hotel group has to check: PMS connections, portfolio controls, channel coverage, support, cost, and the work of switching. Our multi-property channel management guide covers how to build the selection checklist; this one fills it in with vendors. Vendor figures are public claims checked as of October 8, 2026, not independent integration audits.

Two kinds of SiteMinder alternative

A distribution-only product replaces SiteMinder’s distribution role without requiring a PMS replacement. A PMS suite combines hotel operations and distribution; moving to it may mean replacing both.

What to compare Distribution-only product PMS suite
What it sells Channel manager, often with a central reservation system (CRS) and booking engine PMS, channel manager, and booking engine on one subscription
What changes at the property Channel connections and, if included in the switch, the direct booking engine Front desk, folios, housekeeping, night audit, reports, and channels
Who retrains Revenue and distribution staff Every front-desk and back-office user affected by the PMS change
Migration scope Room and rate mapping per channel Guest profiles, future reservations, accounting setup, and channel mapping
Examples SiteMinder, D-EDGE, RateTiger, STAAH, SynXis, ChannelRUSH Cloudbeds, Mews, RoomRaccoon, Little Hotelier

The line matters because the suite offers reviewed here bundle distribution with the vendor’s PMS; their public plan pages do not establish a standalone channel-manager purchase for a hotel keeping a different PMS. Cloudbeds’ Flex plan is the reverse: you keep the Cloudbeds PMS and use your own channel manager or CRS.

If your PMS works and your staff know it, start with products that can replace distribution without requiring a PMS migration. The rest of this post compares those.

SiteMinder alternatives compared

These products can replace distribution without requiring a PMS replacement, provided the necessary connection is supported. SiteMinder publishes a room-count pricing basis; request a portfolio quote from every shortlisted vendor.

Vendor Channels (vendor’s claim) PMS connections (vendor’s claim) Group features on public pages Pricing Support (vendor’s claim)
SiteMinder 450+ 350+ PMSs Groups & Chains: one view of every property; rate and distribution changes across properties, brands, and clusters; cross-property reports By room count; Groups & Chains by quote; advertises no locked-in contracts 24/7 in English; regional phone support hours vary by language
D-EDGE 300+ 150+ two-way Multi-property booking engine with portfolio map and list view, rerouting guests to sister hotels; central inventory Quote 10 hours a day, at least five days a week; 20 languages
RateTiger (eRevMax) 400+ sales channels; the same page also advertises 450+ channel and partner integrations No count on the reviewed product page; partners include Oracle, Protel, Sihot, Infor Dashboard at chain and property level; one update sent to all channels Quote Confirm live support hours
STAAH 200+ on the cited MAX material; published figures vary 250+ advertised on its current channel-manager page Unlimited properties under one account; property or group-level analysis Quote 24×7 local support
SynXis (Aven Hospitality) 600+ 130+ PMS integrations Chain-level CRS; confirm the specific portfolio controls you need Quote Confirm contractual support coverage
ChannelRUSH 200+ 11 bespoke connectors plus 22 vendors on our PMS API Organization-level settings with per-property overrides; one booking site for the portfolio; reports scheduled per property Quote; booking engine is a flat monthly fee with no commission Regular business-hours support covering US and EU hours, plus after-hours emergency support

Channel and PMS counts are each vendor’s own figure, and vendors count differently. Some include global distribution systems (GDS), metasearch, and brand variants; some count “integrations” across every category. Several publish different numbers on different pages. Ask each vendor for the list of channels and PMSs, not the count.

The distribution-only products, one by one

SiteMinder: what you’d be leaving

SiteMinder sells three plans: SiteMinder, SiteMinder Plus, and Groups & Chains. Pricing is based on room count, it advertises no locked-in contracts, and the group plan is quoted. Its Multi-Property product applies rate changes across properties regardless of each property’s PMS.

SiteMinder says it connects to 350+ PMSs and runs without one; an Oracle Opera connection through OXI costs extra (PMS page). Its March 2026 release materials describe UltraSync sending rates from SiteMinder into the PMS, starting with Opera (release hub).

Support is advertised as 24/7. Its contact page shows 24-hour coverage in English, with regional phone support hours varying by language. Chat starts with an AI assistant before a person.

Before you leave, list which SiteMinder modules each property actually uses. SiteMinder Plus includes a booking engine and website builder; if your properties use them, those need a migration plan too.

D-EDGE

D-EDGE sells a channel manager, CRS, and booking engine to 17,000+ hotels, from independents to chains. Accor described it as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2022. It claims two-way connections with 150+ PMSs.

Its strongest group feature is the booking engine: portfolio browsing by map or list, central promotion of offers, and sending guests to another property when one is full. Live support runs 10 hours a day, at least five days a week, in 20 languages. Check those hours against your time zones.

RateTiger (eRevMax)

RateTiger is an eRevMax product. It is not part of RateGain, which sells its own channel manager. eRevMax says it serves over 20,000 properties and sells RT Connect to groups and chains.

The channel manager shows performance at chain and property level and pushes one update to every channel. Reservations go into the hotel’s PMS. The reviewed page publishes no PMS count, but its partner logos include Oracle, Protel, Sihot, Infor, and Mews. Pricing is quoted.

STAAH

STAAH is a New Zealand company founded in 2008 that sells the MAX channel manager. It allows unlimited properties under one account and advertises 24×7 local support.

Its published material has used different channel and property counts. The current channel-manager page advertises 250+ PMS connections. Ask for the supported PMS versions and the channel list for your markets rather than treating headline counts as a compatibility check.

SynXis (Aven Hospitality)

SynXis is an enterprise CRS with OTA Distribution, also known as Channel Connect, claiming 600+ OTA channels. Aven’s partner page lists 130+ PMS integrations. Sabre sold its hospitality business to TPG in 2025 for US$1.1 billion (Sabre’s closing announcement). It relaunched as Aven Hospitality in January 2026.

SynXis fits a group that wants a full CRS at the center of its distribution and has the team to run one. Request pricing, support terms, and a demonstration of the group workflows you need.

When a PMS suite is the right answer

A suite makes sense when the PMS is the problem, not the channel manager. If properties run an aging on-premises PMS, or the group wants one system across every property, replacing both at once can be less work than replacing them separately.

Know what each suite is before you put it on a shortlist:

  • Mews offers Mews Channel Manager, powered by SiteMinder, built into the Mews PMS with 400+ channels. Mews announced in May 2026 that nearly 3,000 hotels running both products would move to it. Mews still integrates other channel managers, including D-EDGE and SynXis.
  • Cloudbeds sells PMS, channel manager, and booking engine together on its One plan, and serves hotel groups on a custom Enterprise package. Prices are quoted. Its Flex plan keeps the Cloudbeds PMS with another vendor’s channel manager.
  • RoomRaccoon includes PMS, channel manager, booking engine, and payments in every subscription. It publishes prices by plan and room count, and its Pro plan is aimed at hotels and hotel groups.
  • Little Hotelier is SiteMinder’s all-in-one for properties of 1–30 rooms. Multi-property pricing is by quote.

For a group keeping a different PMS, these suite offers are not like-for-like distribution replacements. If you already run one of these PMSs, compare its distribution options without assuming that a PMS migration is necessary.

Yanolja Cloud Solution (formerly eZee) needs a separate purchasing check. Its channel-manager page describes integration with YCS PMS and an open API for other systems. Confirm standalone availability and support for your existing PMS rather than assuming either that a PMS replacement is required or that any PMS will connect.

Where ChannelRUSH fits, and where it doesn’t

ChannelRUSH is a channel manager, booking engine, CRS, and hotel website platform. It is not a PMS. We built it for the company above the property: a management company, vacation-rental operator, or timeshare operator running many properties on mixed PMSs, or none.

It fits when:

  • Your properties run different PMSs. We connect 11 property systems through bespoke connectors and 22 more through the ChannelRUSH PMS API. A property can also run without a PMS and keep inventory in the channel manager.
  • You manage from the organization down. Office Hours, Default Restrictions, Rate Calculations, Availability, and Channel Contacts are set once at organization level, with per-property overrides. One booking site covers the whole portfolio.
  • You need to see where a rate went wrong. The Rates and Availability report shows our Master Image, each channel’s stored image, and, on SPI Software and TimeShareWare, a Live Read from the PMS, side by side. Logs keep every PMS message and the raw request sent to each channel.
  • You want promotions in one place. Booking.com and Expedia promotions are created and refreshed from one screen.
  • You want a vendor that has been here a while. Our first channel connection went into production in November 2007. We support accounts with 100+ properties.

Look elsewhere when:

  • You need channel breadth. We connect to 200+ channels. SiteMinder, RateTiger, and SynXis each claim 400 or more. Ask for our list and check it against the channels you sell through today.
  • Your PMS is Oracle Opera, Mews, or Cloudbeds. We have no connection to any of them.
  • You want rate recommendations. We don’t forecast, recommend rates, or monitor rate parity. Pair us with a revenue management system (RMS), or pick a vendor that bundles one.
  • You sell through Amadeus or Sabre GDS. Our only GDS connection is Travelport.
  • You need guest messaging, single sign-on, or corporate negotiated rate codes. We have none of these today.
  • You run one property. Our organization layer is built for portfolios. A single hotel gets little from it.

What switching involves when the PMS stays

Changing distribution vendors is a mapping and cutover project, not a PMS replacement. Your PMS, guest records, and front-desk routines don’t move. For a group, it runs in this order:

  1. Confirm the PMS connection for every property. Get it in writing for each PMS you run: which direction data flows, and how reservations arrive (pushed by API, picked up by the PMS, or by email). A connection that only carries rates in one direction changes how your team works.
  2. Export what you have. Pull room types, rate plans, restrictions, and channel mappings from SiteMinder for each property. Where a direct export is unavailable, document the configuration with the onboarding team. The new vendor rebuilds these, and the inventory is the checklist.
  3. Map each channel. Every room type and rate plan is mapped again in the new system, per channel, per property.
  4. Switch the connection at each channel. Most OTAs need the property to name its new connectivity provider in the channel’s extranet. Schedule this per property and per channel, not as one big switch. Agree which system owns updates at each stage and how to roll back if checks fail.
  5. Plan for bookings made before cutover. Ask the new vendor how it handles modifications and cancellations to reservations SiteMinder delivered.
  6. Move the booking engine if SiteMinder runs it. That means a new booking URL on each website, Google Hotels reconnected where used, and the payment gateway set up again where required.
  7. Cut over in batches. Start with a few properties on different PMSs, run them for a full week of arrivals, and verify reservations, rates, restrictions, and cancellations against agreed acceptance criteria before moving the rest.

SiteMinder’s pricing page advertises no locked-in contracts. Check your own agreement for notice terms before you set a date.

The takeaway

Decide what you are replacing before you compare vendors. If the PMS stays, exclude offers that require a different PMS and shortlist two or three distribution vendors that already connect to every PMS in your portfolio.

Then send each one the same five questions:

  1. Which of our PMSs do you connect to today, and in which direction?
  2. Send the list of channels, not the count, for our markets.
  3. What does it cost for our number of properties and rooms, all fees included?
  4. What are your live support hours in our time zones?
  5. What does your cutover plan look like for a property that is on SiteMinder today?

If ChannelRUSH is on your list, send us your PMS list and property count. We’ll tell you which properties connect today and which don’t.
